Ok, seriously….I’m sick again…..why? Why can’t I get well? I have been sick 3 times in the last month. Mondays seem to take me down, at least I have good weekend before getting sick. Last Saturday Ben and I tore out the rest of the sidewalk in front of the house…I spent time laying out a rock border and sunday planted flowers. Saturday it rained and rained, but Sunday made up for the bad weather. Sunday we met up with my parents and brother and had a picnic at Devils Den. We hiked and hung around it was a beautiful day. We topped it off with ice cream, it was a good mothers day.
I did get in half a day at work yesterday, it was pretty odd at school now that the seniors have left. The halls are pretty empty and quiet. Some of my classes are a lot smaller…the last few weeks of school will probably be pretty laid back. Graduation is tomorrow and the last full day of school will be May 29th, then we will have finals, can’t believe my first year of teaching has gone by so fast.
I’m excited about being off this summer, but I imagine it will go by fast. My first day out will be June 5th, i’ll have a couple of weeks off, then I will have to attend NTL (non-traditional licensure program) on June 23-July 14th, after that I’ll have about 4 weeks off. Doesn’t look i’ll be traveling like I wanted to. Gas will be like 10.00 a gallon by the summer. I will probably work on the house and I’m supposed to help my parents gut and remodel one of their bathrooms. Sounds really exciting doesn’t it?
Well, guess I’m going to take some medicine and crash again.
